I regret to inform Your Lordship

that on the 4th. instant Mr. Joseph Mitchell, 2nd. Light-

-house Keeper in the Harbour Department, died suddenly of

heart failure.

On the 6th. instant I telegraphed

asking that information of the death might be conveyed to

Mr. Mitchell of Hugh Street, Saint Mary's, Scilly Islands,

who is the father of the deceased.

Mrs. Mitchell the wife of the

deceased is in the Colony.
